Three Of Us In Church

Credit & Copyright: Self evident

Explanation: "Here is the church, here is the steeple, open the door and see three of the people" and the little children's' rhyme goes. The first image from left to right is our lovely choir director and next my gift from God who is my wife and companion through all that life brings our way. Finally there is a photo of me and I am trying to position a little cell phone in order to capture for this shot.

Bomok was built the same year I was born and has been our church since we arrived. On the roll-over image you can see this small white church which is situated very close to the Pacific Ocean. It is all to heavenly!!

The End of the Road

Explanation: Not really amazing to look at until one understands what this shows and where it is at. The picture is of a paved road like the majority of roads in the world. A common expression is frequently used to explain where roads go to, that expression is, "All roads lead to Rome." The road I'm speaking of and showing in the above picture does not "lead to Rome."

You see, in this picture there is a very common and highly visible paved road that reaches from the bottom of the picture and narrows as it extends up hill; this is not the important road. Look again at the left hand side of the photo and there you will see a second road made of dirt. This is where "the end of the road" is found in a land that has perfected its skill of covering all fresh healthy green environments under the pressure of population expansion with concrete and asphalt.

I used to live in the "concrete asphalt jungle" until one morning I received a gift as my eyes opened to a new morning sun rise shinning through my bedroom window filled with the sound of many song birds. It is a miracle blessing that is so amazing to actually be living in. I had nothing to do with this transition from a world of night shadows into a blissful world of beauty. This place is like a beautiful spring blossom; I can experience the beauty and fragrance in this fleeting moment as it along with where I now live is just a fleeting foretaste of a world of blossoms that will never end.

I owe all my gratitude and thanks for all this wonderful beauty to the Ultimate Creator and Controller of the entire universe who is Jesus Christ my Savior.

Today's Note: Conscience is like a precious flower that can be cultivated and made more beautiful day by day. Conscience like a tender plant can also be broken or burned which leaves behind a barren land unable to feel the warm sunshine or gentle breezes that give life.

Meaning was Conveyed Gracefully

November 22
Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of.--MATT. vi. 8.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.--MATT. vi. 33.

Thy kingdom come, with power and grace,
To every heart of man;
Thy peace, and joy, and righteousness
In all our bosoms reign.

C. WESLEY.

God bids us, then, by past mercies, by present grace, by fears of coming ill, by hopes in His goodness, earnestly, with our whole hearts, seek Him and His righteousness, and all these things, all ye need for soul and body, peace, comfort, joy, the overflowing of His consolations, shall be added over and above to you.

E. B. PUSEY.

Grant us, O Lord, we beseech Thee, always to seek Thy kingdom and righteousness, and of whatsoever Thou seest us to stand in need, mercifully grant us an abundant portion. Amen.

Be content to be a child, and let the Father proportion out daily to thee what light, what power, what exercises, what straits, what fears, what troubles He sees fit for thee.

Thought for the Light

"Look into the sun at high noon for an hour and the only thing you become blind to is darkness. Darkness can't exist in pure light. If you doubt, go and make a list of all people blinded by looking at the sun; then explain how I can see to type after practicing this for many years. It only makes me sneeze and clears my thoughts.

The darkness is afraid of the light so if this sounds scary just go and watch a sun rise as long as you can. It's best with a hot cup of fresh roasted coffee on a roof top or by the ocean. ”
