Explanation: Serene skyviews were enjoyed across planet Earth earlier this week with a young crescent Moon low in the western sky just after sunset. Recorded on June 4, this colorful example includes a quiet beach in the foreground with the city lights of Lisbon, Portugal, and the Sintra Mountains along the horizon. Posing between cloud banks, the Moon's slender, sunlit arc represents only about 1 percent of the full lunar disc. The rest of the Moon's nearside is faintly visible though, illuminated by Earthshine . A waxing crescent Moon should also create some lovely western skies at dusk this weekend . The bright star in the sky near tonight's (Saturday's) Moon will actually be the planet Mars . On Sunday the Moon will move closer to a pair of celestial beacons, bright star Regulus and Saturn .

Wonderful Day
|
Learning the wonderful lesson of how much love and joy can be found in fellowship with other members of the human race even when you can't speak their language. Today I discovered how much happiness there is to be found in watching a movie with subtitles in their language and an audio track in English so I could share in the experience.
This time of watching a movie together with 3 other middle school boys was made better by quickly putting together a pot of Korean noodle soup by my hands which don't really know Korean cooking but I could put something together that was more like spaghetti flavored with the spices used in their favorite spicy noodle soup found here.
They enjoyed the soup and the movie as the rain fell outside. It took about 2 hours to view the movie which was punctuated with their dialogue about the amazing things in the movie. The movie ended and with it so did the rain.
Today I learned that the most important thing about love is that it is not limited by language and the best part of love is actually shared independent of the spoken word. Yes in deed, love is best shared by actions.

And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of

Be quiet, soul:
Why shouldst thou care and sadness borrow,
Why sit in nameless fear and sorrow,
The livelong day?
God will mark out thy path to-morrow
In His best way.

I had hoped, Madame, to find you here, and was rejoicing in that hope; but
God has sent you elsewhere. The best place is wherever He puts us, and
any other would be undesirable, all the worse because it would please our
fancy, and would be of our own choice. Do not think about distant events.
This uneasiness about the future is unwholesome for you. We must leave to
God all that depends on Him, and think only of being faithful in all that
depends upon ourselves. When God takes away that which He has given you, He
knows well how to replace it, either through other means or by Himself.

This web page is created in honor of Paul Hunt the first and original WL7AK who is an honorable kind man who loved children and a faithful and mysterious servant of God and my Savior Jesus Christ. Paul Hunt was the one individual to wake the seed of computer interest first introduced to me by a La Jolla California High School teacher Mr. Don Jackson in 1978 but made vital by Cyrus Smith NU7Q our mutual high school student. After securing my new call sign of NL7TM (in 1989) after my California call of WB6JLI (1976), Paul Hunt was adamant about my getting a computer connected to my amateur radio gear by way of packet radio. A man of Paul Hunt's honor is not understood and he moved from Anchorage Alaska shortly after my move to Fairbanks Alaska in 1990. Without the amazing grace of God Almighty if my web page could ever possibly do anything to help in any way it is because the Love of God allowed me to be honored to know the original WL7AK and NU7Q (whom I am still in contact with even to this day).
