Life has a constant joy found in the play time of children from every land and culture. How blessed are those children born in poverty with the natural world far from the gray cold urban concrete. Without expensive toys they frolic and play in the wonder of nature’s playground, nourished on simple healthy food and the love of their parents; needing little with regards to clothing and housing.
Every child comes into this world endowed with angelic character easily nurtured when given the simplest of needs of family love, daily food and a chance to play and learn in nature’s grand classroom. These children receive a gift forming the foundation of their lives; come what may, these early memories from the grand playground form the sanctuary where all children retreat when the adversities of later life come.
How rich are the children born into a world of purest wonders freely accessible in nature’s world; no need for expensive toys, clothing or high cost education, for no amount of money can purchase the priceless love given by their parents, the lush world of a playground shaped by the power that made the stars above.
Now that the time has arrived, it seems that my mission in life has been to make sure children have access to the single thing they need to form their refuge and shelter before the inevitable storms of adult life approach.
I am blessed simply because my childhood was set in the most wondrous and varied playgrounds a father with wanderlust could provide. I remember the vast deserts, deep forests, flowing rivers and tree houses swaying 50 feet up in the top of back yard trees. I remember his guiding presence as his hand pointed to the array of auroral curtains spanning the skies in a land where people lived comfortably on the power generated by the volcanic heat beneath their mountains. My mother always there to help me learn how to take care of basic matters of food which were just an additional art project for me.
Suffice it to say that my childhood was blessed with an experience which has now afforded me a refuge that protects me even from the convulsing forces of stars ready to give their life to other worlds.
