"Perfect Actions"

Exit Lane Life

Here I am at one of the furthest points north on the planet earth; the sun shines 24 hours a day and it is easy to find places where there are no telephones, TVs or noise from civilization. However, this also includes the Internet the access to which has defined my life for more than 12 years. So here I am back again in the real world where all of life dances in harmony with the music of the spheres with huge gaps in my usual webpag

I’m feeling a sense of urgency as if I’ve finally entered the exit lane of life. There is a very eerie lack of energy to see things accomplished; acquaintances are exhausted and frustrated with matters in my life and my poor wife is at wits end trying to get a firm foot hold in this strange world.

What I need to get straighten out very quickly is the writing I published about the “The Korean Ultimatum”; in retrospect, the matter remains and now I see that God in all His wisdom had a very good reason for placing me in the “protective custody” of the Korean people. To reiterate a former statement, their kind hard working attitude towards life and social responsibilities really does show the west as desperately wanting in the world balance of moral values and social responsibilities. Koreans do have a power to assimilate other cultures and it can be scary if it wasn’t for my recent recognition which is the kind of power which can assimilate other nations can only be controlled by God Himself. So hearing the Koreans so astutely observe and comment on the lethargic attitudes of the morally compromised west makes me think carefully about their goals and plans.

If a people who claim to follow the One True God of the universe proclaim this and fail to live according to His dictates, they must prepare to hand their lives over to captivity by others who do live according to God’s dictates. This is an old story and it has been repeated throughout history. Those who claim to follow God actually wind up killing those who do follow Him and in the end; God turns those who betray Him over to be the servants of those who have a more loyal heart regardless of what liturgy they proclaim.

At this time all I can do is repeat that the only power that can resist the assimilation that is rapidly in process it to be absolutely sure you have an vital living relationship with the God of heaven and earth; without this you will be tried and if you fail you will soon be severing those who live good moral lives and don’t throw the name of God in the dirt.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.--COL. i. 12

.

The souls most precious to us here
May from this home have fled;
But still we make one household dear;
One Lord is still our head.
Midst cherubim and seraphim
They mind their Lord's affairs;
Oh! if we bring our work to Him
Our work is one with theirs.

We are apt to feel as if nothing we could do on earth bears a relation to what the good are doing in a higher world; but it is not so. Heaven and earth are not so far apart. Every disinterested act, every sacrifice to duty, every exertion for the good of "one of the least of Christ's brethren," every new insight into God's works, every new impulse given to the love of truth and goodness, associates us with the departed, brings us nearer to them, and is as truly heavenly as if we were acting, not on earth, but in heaven. The spiritual tie between us and the departed is not felt as it should be. Our union with them daily grows stronger, if we daily make progress in what they are growing in.
