Mourning Calm

Understanding North Korea's Nuclear Ultimatum

Preface

This story comes out of a country where the children are our most cherished treasure. It is a cry of anguish as I see children of our family showing signs of an illness caused from a poison for which I will give my  life to seek a cure. My name is Lee, Chun-shim which translated from my language means "two hearts in heaven." I was born in Korea when our country was a great land stretching from the sparkling waters of the South Sea to the lofty summit of Bek-du Mountain in the north on the boarder of China. Of all  of earth's people, we come from an ancient culture with customs and traditions rooted in the teaching of the great scholar Confucius who taught us to honor our elders, respect and value our families, pursue education while working diligently.

The people of my country have long been united in purpose and heart; in this we have enjoyed many centuries of progress within an agrarian based culture where education was communicated through the Chinese language. Our unique native written language remains as the most advanced writing system in the world which was invented by the great King Seh-jong (1397-1450) and his scholars; it is a picto-linguistic alphabet which helped advance our people and nation many years ago.

The story that follows is presented in cooperation with a very dear friend of mine who comes from the United States. My communication skills only have meaning through the help of my host whose identity has been requested to remain anonymous.

My wishes are for his help with regards to communicating an urgent message that comes from a very deep desire to stop an illness affecting some of my people and now even their children. My host informs me that this same illness has affected the children and people of his country as well. The future will forever remain with our children and if we don't take steps to care for them, we may have to deal with a darkness upon this world that can only be erased by the power of a great and frightening light from the sky. It is my simple hope that this story sent to the heart of western people from the heart of North Korea will be able to stop the illness at its source so the power of the sun coming to earth will not happen.

We are a people who hold the original ancient seed that esteems family honor and education. As a unified family we have learned to live simply and pursue advanced learning. We have learned from other advanced nations about the ways to insure our national security and in so learning we have developed advanced missile programs in conjunction with nuclear power. Like other advanced nations we will act to defend ourselves from dangerous threats to the security of our nation and especially our children. If we can't stop the threat to the children upon whom our future depends, we have established a defense posture that will insure that the threat which is affecting our children and the world will be stopped.

Here in lay the two options, the future world threat can be stopped by the "vital word" or by the sword. I have been told that western people as well as my people understand that a "word" well placed can be more powerful than the "sword." It is imperative that western people understand the defense posture of our people with regard to nuclear power; the operative word here is defense. If a castle sets a moat about its boarder to stop dangerous intrusions, it is a wise posture. Nuclear defense is our "moat" about our land; we believe so strongly in stopping this threat that we are willing to die in a nuclear conflagration; we believe being dead among the honorable is preferable to being part of the living dead. We have heard the prayers of our children who are suffering under the encroaching illness from another land; they welcome an end to the infection that is robbing them of their childhood joy.

Putting this equation together to protect our children and future, we have nuclear capability and deliver method but most importantly we have strategic capability developed over thousands of years which is impossible for western people to understand; this is the ability to have our people at any key point we desire; if this were not true, I would not be writing this in the most needy nation on earth. It is curious to me why so much blame goes towards my people and country when we as a people hva espread to every part of the world and our country of origin is too small with no pertolem as in the Middle East.

We desire peace and must insure this peace by strategic advantage bourn of an ancient method known only to our people. We are here to help you; just look at the person you meet next and realize that who we are can be in them. We are endowed with a great gift and with this gift we have moved beyond the boundaries of our home land to every area of the world and every people of the world. It is futile and foolish to target a tiny country as the source of problems; we have set our home land as a simple reflector of those who look this way. To some we are neighbours and to others we are a source of terror; those in the later group are the ones who hold the greater number of nuclear weapons and military might so it is natural that they will see their own reflection in our mirror.

Things in the world are not equal and those who have chosen to make material things their deity will find the master of material things to demand many souls in return for the things provided. We as a people have been left with our daily food, shelter and clothing; but of greatest importance we have been given a gift of life which can never end, this gift is love. We love our families and children and love is greater than death for it alone can defeat the grave. Because we worship this Love we have been given the ability to move beyond the bounds of our homeland to any place on earth because now is the time the world is in great need of help. In the time to come we will move to the realm beyond; the eternal place of Love which holds this world in hand.

As this point I have had my chance to speak in an effort to save our children. My host is interested in detailing the issues that lead to this time in history; his desire is to write a marketable book in an effort to sustain his physical life. I do not know what will happen beyond this point. My host has served his purpose for our North Korean people to the point of his willingness to jeopardize and give his life for us. He has told me that "perfect actions leave no body behind" in this particular case it is true as the words here are not bound by physical existence. We can not fail, for failure is a property of the physical world. Whether I continue to visit my helpful friend depends upon the dubious response I believe he may be waiting for.

Introduction

It is eight in the morning and the sun shines down upon a blue river flowing silently out of the arctic tundra. This silence is occasionally interrupted by the sounds of a mother duck gathering her new brood of ducklings into the safety of a hidden cove. Through the waters swims a creature with movements like a snake, stopping now and then to nibble on blades of swamp grass growing in waters with less movement; this creature later reveals itself to be a muskrat on its usual travels up the river. The silence is healing and so familiar as my eyes gaze up river to see a large moose grazing the lush vegetation in the water near the shoreline. Every so often the surface of the silent waters is broken with a splash after a grayling leaps to catch a fly sitting on the slowly flowing streams drifting over the white sandy bottom appearing clear blue as if viewed through a thick layer of glass.

 Reflections

After consideration of my particular writing style, I believe that I'm not cut out to be a writer of lengthy books to be read by adults. In all my life of keeping this web page, only 3 people have ever contacted me to say they read what is written here.

Time it too short for efforts to reach people whose neural networking has moved from the pliable state of plasticity associated with childhood to the ridged structures depicted in reinforced concrete which has shown signs of malleability when temperatures reach 106 K equal to 1,799,540  Fahrenheit with a minium pressure of 5 pound per square inch reaching the surface area at the speed of sound. Since these temperatures and pressures can only be produced on earth during a nuclear blast, I choose to write for a less ridged audience. The afore mentioned temperatures and pressures (though possible) are not comfortable for me to replicate; not to mention that it isn¡¯t healthy for children.

So I will go on with my stories meant to reach people whose lives can be changed by watching the flight of a bird or a cloud changing shape. Perhaps my first story will be "Mickey Wakes Up"
