"Perfect Actions"

The Year Of Contact

January 1, 2010

The above image is highly unique in the fact that it's an artistic expression composed of and by humanity. Except for the mountain back drop and the green staging in the foreground, the entire sky image is created by more than 15,000 individuals (mostly students) holding colored placards each with 1x2 foot dimensions which when opened to a particular color form a 2x2 foot panel of color. All 15,000 individuals open and close their placards in well choreographed timing to form colorful images of scenic beauty and patriotic figures.

Each of the streaming yellow lines in the foreground is made up of many young women wearing yellow traditional costumes called Hanbok. The entire artistic expression is formed by the unified cooperate effort of many people without using the artificiality of computer generated imaging so commonly found in Hollywood. If this kind of employment of humanity were utilized in the United States, there wouldn't be a soul out of work.

Waking up after a life time of sleep is a bit disturbing. It's -40 outside but a great night for a walk in the eerie mysterious light of the full moon as it rose out of the northern sky with a pillars of light stretching above and below the pale yellow glow all surrounded in a perfectly circular halo, as sometimes happens in the far north when ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere create this beautiful phenomenon usually seen around the sun.

I mention "waking up" as it pertains to the kind of life I have lead since I was in elementary school. I have lived a life behind radios and computers which have been a "wall" through which I communicate. I have just taken for granted that this is "just life." I'm now waking up to that fact and a society without radios, cell phones, the Internet would be a society where people would have to get out and meet with others face to face and actually touch their lives.

For me however, the society I spent 40 years living in has some pretty unsavory aspects that damage children's minds and lives giving rise to a distorted entity; this entity appears to be waking up to what a society is like when it functions in harmony with Natural Law. The above depicted society is devoid of drug abuse, pornography, the Internet, unemployed lazy people and broken families; it is a precious flower protected by a force not comprehensible by the mind of the west.

I have lived in this society depicted above and it has altered my life in a way that can't be undone. I can't explain what is happening in my life nor can I even begin to grasp a little of what is unfolding; I simply know that I need to let go of just about everything I have grown to believe my life depend upon and for one, this web page has become a major part. Somehow I believe what I write here will soon be coming to and end or to put it simply, I need to point to the "Final Word."

They go from strength to strength.--PS. lxxxiv. 7.

First the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.--MARK. iv. 28.

Build thee more stately mansions, O my soul,
As the swift seasons roll!
Leave thy low-vaulted past!
Let each new temple, nobler than the last,
Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast,
Till thou at length art free,
Leaving thine outgrown shell by life's unresting sea!

O. W. HOLMES.

High hearts are never long without hearing some new call, some distant clarion of God, even in their dreams; and soon they are observed to break up the camp of ease, and start on some fresh march of faithful service. And, looking higher still, we find those who never wait till their moral work accumulates, and who reward resolution with no rest; with whom, therefore, the alternation is instantaneous and constant; who do the good only to see the better, and see the better only to achieve it; who are too meek for transport, too faithful for remorse, too earnest for repose; whose worship is action, and whose action ceaseless aspiration.

J. MARTINEAU.
